Our impact

Sustainability is a key driver in every aspect of our decision-making. We have a duty to leave a lasting, positive legacy for future generations.

Through our environmental strategy and initiatives, we’re on an active path to be net-zero operationally by 2032 and have developed a carbon footprint calculator, which enables us to reformulate our products to significantly reduce the embedded carbon.

Supporting our communities is also exceptionally important to us and we have a strategy in place to unlock social value across the UK in the areas we live and serve.

Making Vision Zero A Reality

Every year the population of a medium-sized UK town are killed or seriously injured on UK roads. About 30,000 people. It’s a figure that has remained largely unchanged for the past decade or so, save for a minor improvement between 2018 and 2020

Our report brings together local authorities, researchers, the Department for Transport, contractors, and industry experts, presenting five cross-industry recommendations for the highways sector. These recommendations focus on how insights can be used to move towards a road network with zero deaths or serious injuries.
